Mike's North Fork Moment of the Month
Not long after moving to the North Fork I put together a small picture book and half-jokingly titled it “Never a Dull Moment”. It had a series of photos taken from our deck in Baiting Hollow of the exact same view - though no two images were alike. What I was attempting to convey is how captivating and ever-changing the same body of water can be throughout the course of a day, a week, a year.
“Calm” is one of my earliest photos, taken on a morning when the Long Island Sound looked more like the Caribbean Sea. Until the next - never dull - moment, when it changed.
